HR Manager - Business Partner
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on HR professional who can provide strategic solutions in a constantly changing environment. This role requires experience in employee relations, coaching/development, HR metrics, data analysis, performance management, risk management, organizational development, compensation, and training. The HR business partner works closely with leaders and managers on people related matters impacting their organization. This individual will work collaboratively with leaders and managers to turn business strategies into leading people, practices, and processes to create an effective organization.
Responsibilities:
In this role, the primary responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
· Effectively partner with and influence leaders and managers to align the organization with the business strategy.
· Act as a first point of contact to managers and employees and provide HR business partner support to the organization.
· Employee Relations, Investigations and Coaching: Proactively provide expert counsel, coaching and direction on employee issues by assisting managers with developing, coaching, training and managing disciplinary actions. Ensure proper handling of investigations and terminations based on company practices and policy.
· HR Metrics: Collect, assimilate and analyze data.
· Performance Management: manage the online performance management system and process, assist in defining competencies, job descriptions, and organizational goals.
· Compensation Planning: manage bonus pool, promotions, annual merit increases, and provide analysis on market data for internal compensation.
· Partner with business managers to translate business strategies into HR initiatives and actions. Design, implement and assess HR programs and initiatives such as: top talent, retention, performance management, compensation and people planning, employee relations, training, legal compliance, internal communications, and other HR projects within the client groups.
· Onboarding: Conduct new employee orientation, maintain onboarding materials and create new initiatives to enhance the onboarding program.
· Risk Management: proactively re-define processes and policies.
· Employee Survey: Push completion and roll out of action plan based on results
· Manage staffing budget, priorities and open positions
Required Skills/Experience:
· BS degree, or equivalent
· 5-8 years of Human Resources Generalist experience; understand all HR functional areas.
· Resourceful, proactive, and able to anticipate and provide alternative solutions.
· Ability to develop productive and effective relationships across all levels and with diverse client groups.
· Demonstrate subject matter expertise in two or more functional areas of Human Resources.
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; must be an articulate and persuasive communicator.
· Ability to influence change across all levels of the organization in an effective manner.
· Advanced skill level in MS Excel and Word
· Ability to coach and counsel managers at all levels.
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, statutes, etc. which govern employment policies and practices.
