Position Summary:
The Field Account Manager is responsible for the overall management of Los Angeles Hispanic events. The position requires 100% Spanish speaking and writing fluency. Experience with U.S. Hispanic marketing-related services is preferred. This includes ensuring the quality execution of all approved projects, working with the Account Director and client to grow the business within the account and creating and gaining client approval of all programs. Position requires a self-starter. Acts as a field marketing extension for AT&T leading a temp staff at activations effectively.
Position Responsibilities (including, not limited to):
· Act as key category expert about client business and brand performance
· Act as contact for client research plans and implementation
· Responsible for overall client contact and profitability of all projects
· Substantial or great amount of client contact (daily contact)
· Ultimately accountable for the operation management of approved projects including the planning, budgeting and billing process
· Responsible for the strategic development and creative implementation for innovative program development
· Provides original promotional ideas and manages all aspects of execution
· Provides strong communications link with upper management and counterparts in order to keep direct reports in tune with the company’s mission and direction
· Enforces compliance with company policies pertaining to contracts, personnel, purchasing, vehicles and travel expenses
· Manages existing vendors to ensure that all products and services provided by these vendors for events/programs are of the highest quality
· Continually researches promoters/media opportunities for event activations to ensure that the best in service are identified and utilized
· Tracks execution costs associated with event to ensure programs fall within budget parameters
· Confirms accuracy of all invoices received from vendors prior to authorizing payment
· Assist in creating agency POV’s or other work to be presented to the client
· Responsible for project management and meeting day-to-day needs and operations of client
· Influence on Decisions - this position provides advice or analysis to help guide A medium portion of the organization
· Accountability for Results – this position is responsible for assuring projects are achieved
· Resource Responsibilities – this position is responsible for controlling project resources
· Forge strong client relationships; is dedicated to meeting expectations and requirements of clients
· Compile billing and income forecasts and reports
· Facilitate client presentations and internal briefings
Touring Responsibilities:
· Manager will drive a company-owned branded van
· Valid (and current) California Drivers License required
· Good driving record (Driver License background check must meet DOT requirements)
· Drug test required, driving a company-owned vehicle
· Must be able & willing to work a flexible schedule (i.e. weekends, holidays & evenings)
Required Education & Experience:
· Undergraduate degree required; advertising, marketing, and/or communications preferred
· Five (5) years experience in marketing related services
· 4+ years experience in strategic consumer marketing, special event industry, event execution process or marketing related services
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· 100% Spanish language proficiency
· Knowledge of special event industry
· Advanced PC Skills - Word, Excel & PowerPoint
· Individual must require minimal direct supervision
· Knowledgeable in current and practices, future trends, and developments affecting the events business and organization specifically in Los Angeles market
· Is able to assemble talented temporary staff
· Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
· Needs to have a strong understanding of consumer behavior and strategic marketing
· Is aware of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace
· Demonstrates conflict management, and is able to read situations quickly and find common ground and get cooperation
· Is effective in a variety of presentation settings: one-on-one, small groups, with peers, direct reports and managers
· Is able to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, establishing trust and respect
· Is able to make decisions in a timely manner, under tight deadlines and pressure
· Is able to negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups
· Is able to create a climate in which people want to do their best
· Is able to deal with concepts and complexity comfortably
· Uses logic to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
· Strong communication skills are essential
