Human Resources Manager:

 

Overview: 

Under direction of the Vice President of Human Resources, this position provides HR leadership to the employees and mid level to senior level managers of the organization.  The HR Manager’s focus is in the areas of Employee and Organizational Development, compliance, and culture and morale.

 

Responsibilities:

 

· Provide general HR support to organization leadership through coaching and counseling on issues of individual and organizational concern and development.

· Coach employees toward effective working relationships and to maximize performance outcomes.

· Implement, apply and interpret company employment policies.

· Ensure all legal compliance requirements are met.

· Conduct needs assessments and implement training and development programs including outside classes and seminars, in-house classroom training, mentoring programs, and peer training as appropriate.

· Evaluate and enhance orientation and the on-boarding process; monitor regularly and adapt as needed.

· Guide the organization to fully embrace and utilize the organization’s Performance Leadership process.

· Maintain grassroots connection to employees and share insights and proactive recommendations with Human Resources team and organizational leadership

· Provide Employee Relations plan to monitor and improve the culture and spirit of the organization.  This includes the implementation of employee survey mechanism, conducting focus groups, working with cross functional teams to recommend and enhance the overall well being of the organization.

· Provide data to and analyze data from the HR dashboard and provide recommendations for initiatives aimed at overall organizational improvement.

· Manage Workers Comp, and leave administration.

· Provide input and guidance on enhancing HR Operational functions including benefits, filing systems, technology solutions etc.

· Answer employee questions related to benefits, payroll, policies and procedures.

· Facilitate exit process for employees who are leaving the company

 

Requirements: · 2 - 5 years experience in HR as a generalist preferred.

· 2 - 4 years in a management or supervisory role preferred.

· BS/BA in Sociology, Psychology, HR/OD, other relevant field preferred.

· Demonstrated ability to work well in a creative, fast paced organization.

· Start up or turn around experience a plus, experience in a larger company with excellent systems and process is preferred.

· Demonstrated ability to use good judgment when making business decisions and performing tasks

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Attention to detail; demonstrates a high degree of accuracy

· Excellent organization and time management; ability to prioritize workload and multi-task
