NSA Media (Newspaper Services of America )is the largest print media planning and buying agency in the U.S. Working with some of the nation’s top advertisers, we research and interpret critical data for analysis, planning, buying and budgeting.  We have an immediate need for an IT Project Manager to lead several application development initiatives.

 

We are seeking a collaborative problem-solver who is well versed in all areas of application development, from conception through design, coding, testing and implementation.  The ideal candidate has a web development background, quality certification, PMP certification an advanced degree and 10+ years of demonstrated success with at least 4 years in a project management role.



Responsibilities:

 Partners with business and IT management to establish project goals, objectives, budget and deliverables. Provide leadership, direction and accountability throughout the entire project lifecycle, including post-implementation assessments. Work closely with business users, the development team and external vendors (as required) from conception to implementation on all assigned projects. Proactively design and implement effective application dashboards. Define and establish new processes and controls to ensure data integrity and system metrics on legacy applications. Actively pursue new technology and process improvement opportunities; make recommendations as appropriate to management. Ensure principles of quality permeate all assignments and deliverables. Some travel is required.

 



Qualifications:



 Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field, PMP certification a plus.  Master’s Degree preferred; MSIT, MBA, etc. Minimum of 10 years IT experience, including 4 years in a project management role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, with vendors and external clients. Must have a thorough understanding of the SDLC and software development methodologies. Proficient with standard Office products and MS Project. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Able to multi-task and deliver results in the midst of competing priorities. Ability to influence others and meet objectives in a matrix environment. Technical skills should include ASP.NET, VB, AJAX, Visual Studio, CSS, HTML and prototyping.
