IT Systems Administrator

We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced, flexible, and energetic individual to join our Company as an IT Systems Administrator.
Job Summary
The IT Systems Administrator will be responsible for administering and monitoring Windows server systems and software applications, including computer operations, technical support, systems analysis, telecommunications, IS training and microcomputer technology. Administrator must be flexible and work varied hours when necessary to achieve Company or individual goals.
Primary Responsibilities
· Operate and maintain network systems and operations, including back-ups, printers, email, remote access, servers, storage solutions, etc. for multiple office locations
· Configuration and implementation of major servers and server applications in a production environment.
· Maintains all helpdesk related functions including employee interaction and system problems.
· Establishes and maintains documentation of all systems standards, policies and procedures.
· Responsible for outside contracts with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for technology services and products.
· Ensures sufficient systems capacity for organizational needs and is actively involved with future system planning and business expansions.
· Administer and troubleshoot Company wireless mobile devices, including equipment procurement, billing plan management and usage monitoring.
· Perform network and desktop based detection of viruses to detect, contain and eliminate virus infestations.
· Evaluate hardware, firmware, peripherals, software packages, etc. and provide recommendations for upgrading and purchasing. Maintain outside contracts with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services/products.
Required Skills / Education
An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field, and eight plus years IT experience is required along with the following skills:Proficient with computer and networking applications Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and shift priorities in a changing environment Strong project management, attention to detail and organizational skills Demonstrate ability to make sensible decisions and use sound judgment in problem analysis/resolution Proven ability to think strategically and fiscally relating to IT Systems Planning and implementation projects Must have experience implementing network hardware and software security and controls Experience supporting end users and troubleshooting desktop and server related issues Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to articulate technical issues to peers as well as non-technical people equally well Strong customer service skills with high level of professionalism, and ability to work with complex situations Must be able to work in high-stress situations without sacrificing customer service or level of detail
