IMS currently has an opening for an Inbound Freight Coordinator, working on a client account in the Morton Grove office.

The job duties are as follows:

• Manage various functions related to inbound transportation to include:
Planning, Routing, Consolidation, and Software Maintenance.
• Extensive telephone contact with shipping locations and freight carriers
• Arrange, Monitor, Track and Trace inbound shipments
• Create and maintain paperwork for shipments and claims, and monitor carrier invoicing for arranged shipments
• Report on carrier performance for Inbound and Outbound shipments
• Expedite emergency requests
• Assist, when possible, with outbound shipment volumes and transportation related projects


The ideal candidate must be a quick learner and be highly detail oriented. We are looking for someone who can work independently and will work well with team members. An analytical mindset is a must. Candidates must possess excellent and effective communication and problem solving skills and also be energetic and adaptable to increasing workload. Experience in word processing, worksheet software and IBM iSeries or similar PC system required. The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree, or higher and previous freight/transportation-related experience is a plus.
