Starting here:Inside Advertising Consultant US-FL-Tampa Job Description The best Inside Advertising Consultant (IAC) has a strong record of prior inside sales success and confidence to develop and maintain quality relationships. The IAC works closely with the customer providing a consultative sales assessment and offering creative solutions, focusing on Select Ads and identifying dealer inventory levels where subscription products are viable, to help the customer reach their business and sales objectives. IAC works with the AC's as a member of the District Team, sells Select Ads and is also responsible for setting appointments for the AC's to up-sell dealers from Select Ads to Subscription products. Qualifications Proven success in providing consultative sales assessment.Strong record of prior inside sales success.Selling products and services over the phone from start to finish is required.Ability to effectively present information to customers, co-workers, supervisors on a one to one basis. Ability to conduct business over the telephone in a professional manner and environment.Basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate customer advertising budgets versus advertising expense, personal sales revenue totals, closing ratios, and market penetration.Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations and basic analytical skills. Assist dealers with loading inventory on the website. Ability to analyze and resolve all customers' advertising related issues. Take initiative to gain the knowledge needed to resolve issues and know your resources to utilize for assistant.Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite, e.g., Word and Excel. Literacy with internet is required.Ability to prioritize and succeed in a fast paced environment. Ability to influence and persuade others while offering products and services to business customers. Responsibilities -Sales Management: The successful IAC (IAC) will follow the sales cycle from the initial stage of identifying prospective dealers, conduct cold calls and warm sales calls, conducting a needs analysis, present/offer solutions and ask for the business through daily customer contact. The IAC will be prepared with data and statistics about the dealership and past history/results with AutoTrader.com. A successful IAC will meet/exceed weekly/monthly Select Ad sales and subscription conversion goals.-Develop cooperative relationship with key team members: The successful IAC will build relationships not only with customers but the internal team as well. The internal team consists of the District Manager, Advertising Consultants within the district, ISS and other IAC's, Inventory Department, Dealer Account Support/Web Support, Retention, Delivery and Collections Specialists. The successful IAC will share success with the team.-Consultative Approach: The successful IAC will use a consultative approach to sign up a specific amount of new dealers per month on Select Ads through consultative selling. The IAC will consistently exceed monthly personal revenue goals by leveraging current customers and researching new leads. The IAC will also facilitate Select AD to Subscription product conversion either themselves, or by appointment setting for a district AC to close, as directed by the DSM. The IAC will do a "needs analysis" and only recommend products that are appropriate to the dealership's needs. The IAC will also consult with the dealer on how to maximize the use of our products. -Competitive Media: A successful Advertising Consultant knows their universe, for example, rates and selling points for competition such as radio, TV rates, other internet sites, run rate for their local newspapers, etc., which is constantly changing, requiring consistent updating. A successful Advertising consultant will always stay abreast of the latest industry information by subscribing to trade magazines and attending trade shows while networking. -Internal Systems: The successful IAC will be proficient using internal systems. He or she will have the ability to present the most appropriate information/reports to each contact within the dealership. The IAC should be proficient in using the company's CARS application and keeping all such information current.-Responsiveness: The successful IAC will respond quickly to the team and customer. All calls should be returned before the close of business, same day.-Non Dealer Relationships: The Successful IAC will create positive relationships with companies that partner with AutoTrader.com (such as Dealer Specialties, Manheim Auctions, etc.).-Community: The successful Advertising Consultant will be an asset to his/her community and to his/her company. The IAC will look for ways to help AutoTrader.com to enhance its position in the community.-Ad hoc Responsibilities: The successful IAC will show the flexibility necessary to adjust to changing/additional duties and responsibilities as the markets and company changes. Additional responsibilities may be delegated to the IAC in order to assist the district, region and company meet its goals and mission.
