Junior Data Analyst - Boston - SQL

A Global Interactive Media company, located in Boston, is currently searching for a Junior Data Analyst for their global Business Intelligence group.  This role is very analytical and you will be working specifically on the Data and Analytics Team, working closely with the Senior Data Analysts!  The Business Intelligence platform effectively stores and tracks online/offline advertising campaign data as well as customer data, publisher data, site analytics data and 3rd party research data.  The platform offers advanced ROI tracking and is ultimately a decision support system that enables their users to deliver better campaign optimisation, thus maximising the ROI for their clients.

 

In this role, you will learn about the data warehouse inside and out – the source systems, data loading business rules, and the data model.  Responsibilities include data analysis, report writing, SQL query writing, and potentially database procedure writing. Additional responsibilities include executing data processing tasks, fielding and trouble shooting data quality issues.  The Junior Data Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Senior Data Analyst in variety of data analysis and reporting projects.

 

Required experience and skills:

 Experience with relational databases, preferably OracleExperienced in working with data using SQLCommitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detailExperience with report writing, preferably Business ObjectsExperienced in manipulating data in Excel and/or AccessSelf-motivated, able to work independentlyExcellent communication skills

 

 

Valued by not required experience and skills:

 Familiarity with internet advertising systems (Double Click, Atlas, Omniture, etc)Knowledge of Business ObjectsKnowledge of OracleExperience with stored proceduresAdvanced Excel skills
