Licensing Coodinator

In 2007, consumers spent over $3.0 billion on Weight Watchers branded products and services, including meetings conducted by us and our franchisees, products sold at meetings, Internet subscription products sold by WeightWatchers.com, licensed products sold in retail channels and magazine subscriptions and other publications.
During the past 5+ years, Weight Watchers has built a licensing business in three main areas – packaged foods, institutional/restaurants and hard goods. Key packaged foods categories such as cheese, ice cream, yogurt, bread, chocolate candies, snack cakes, cookies and muffins have been launched. In addition to packaged goods, WWI has developed a unique partnership with Applebee’s International to create a number of menu items that are prominently placed on the Applebee’s menu.
Weight Watchers also has a licensing agreement with publishers of branded cookbooks sold at retail requiring active management of the relationship.
Licensing Coordinator role will include the following
Day to day management of licensees responsible for publishing cookbooks sold both at retail and through direct to consumer channelsFinancial managementDevelop revenue forecastsReceive monthly and quarterly royalty reportsRelationship managementCommunicate brand positioning and ensure brand integrityManage approval process for all cookbooks and associated marketing materials (e.g. print advertising and direct to consumer pieces)
Execute retail initiatives in collaboration with Senior Retail Manager and trade marketing agencyParticipate in the development of the retail calendar and retail planning processCoordinate the development of account specific cross-licensee programsManage the development and approval process for in-store communicationsCollect data and analyze performance of initiatives
Contract compliance managementOnline routing and approval processTracking licensee reporting and contractual obligations
Financial ManagementMonthly incorporation of licensee key business statistics into tracking templatesMarketing Fund invoicing/tracking/reporting
Experience/Requirements
BA/BS (4 yr degree)
2+ years work experience, client services experience preferred
Highly organized/able to manage multiple priorities and projects
Detail oriented and strong analytical skills
Enjoys collaborating with others and effectively communicates (oral and written)
PC literacy and proficiency (MS Office)
Basic financial/project management skills
Self motivated
