Life Product Development Actuary

Life Product Development Actuary opening in Connecticut. Serve in lead role in product development process from idea generation to launch, including product innovation, product features, financing, underwriting and marketing; manage life product development people and processes. Design innovative products in accordance with marketing strategies while balancing competitive needs against company profit standards; maintain systems and structures necessary for the testing of all data processing systems (proposal, issue and administrative); incorporate emerging actuarial mandates (including state mandated items and Actuarial Standards of Practice) into pricing models; develop explicit product specifications for all new life insurance products; provide essential support in the company's new ventures and expanding sources of distribution by analyzing the relevant cost structures and unique factors inherent in each venture and designing appropriate products to meet business objectives; work with Life Distribution wholesalers to support sales initiatives in the most competitive environments.
