Occupation:Information Architecture Manager Primary Function Directs, manages, plans, and administers the operational and administrative activities for the Loyalty Application Architecture team providing management support, planning, operational process development, deployment architecture standards review.. This resource will also serve in the capacity of Technical Team Lead and may also be responsible for research, design, development, testing of new technologies to support the Loyalty Platforms. Manages a staff responsible for the development of new Loyalty products and ongoing maintenance support activities for the application systems in an environment of diverse development platforms and computing environments. Core Responsibilities • Consult with business and IT management in the analysis of short and long-range business requirements. • Recommend system and process innovations which anticipate the future impact of changing business requirements. • Interact and coordinate activities with other IT teams including database, telecommunications, operations, infrastructure, technical support, etc. • Work closely with internal business partners and IT leaders to execute strategic initiatives and to maintain an open flow of communication across department disciplines. • Responsible and accountable for meeting the expectations of internal business partners. • Assists in the set up and/or production of internal operations for executing new revenue opportunities. • Seek, suggest and when appropriate, implement initiatives for improved processes, additional business benefits, reduced costs, etc. • Work across the IT organization to improve and enforce development and documentation standards. • Assist in the development and maintenance of a technology roadmap. Identify new technologies to solve business needs, implement proof of concepts and document technical requirements to satisfy business needs. • Implement high quality, timely and cost-managed solutions. • Organize, control, and properly adjust the activities of the section. • Manage support queue and prioritization. • Manage project queue and resource allocation. • Establish application performance/availability baselines and reporting metrics. • Assign personnel to various small enhancements, support tickets and directs their activities to meet the needs and objectives of the business. • Assign personnel to various project initiatives. • Ensure deliverables are completed within target timeframes and are consistently high-quality. • Step in and perform the daily support function/communication of the developers when necessary. • Keep abreast of team projects and direction to ensure compliance with long term strategy and architecture. • Staffing responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, coaching, and when necessary disciplinary action. • Professionally develops members of the team including:   o Providing regular constructive feedback, guidance, and support.  o Identifyingtraining and development needs.   o Ensuring depth in application and technology expertise.   o Delivering annual and semi-annual reviews.   o Provide clear objectives and growth opportunities to direct reports.   o Gives input into and may deliver merit and promotional salary increases. • May be responsible for managing budget. • Prepares activity and progress reports for the section. • May function as a primary client contact and/or project manager responsible for managing and implementing projects. • Assisting project managers in project planning, scheduling, status reporting and project budgets following the methodology as defined. • Establish and analyze staffing requirements for support projects and support activities. • Implement solutions consistent with the overall IT plans and objectives. • Maintain the appropriate system service levels (SLA) for all applications in the section. • Maintain relationships with vendors and professional organizations. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent experience. • Minimum of six years, preferably eight or more years experience in all areas of the Application Development Lifecycle. • Two years of personnel management experience. • Experience with JAVA, J2EE, WebLogic Application Server, J2EE design patterns • Experience with Oracle and UNIX required • Demonstrated successful project management experience. • Excellent time management skills and ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously. • Experience working across multiple departments as well as the ability to interface effectively across all levels within Affinion Group as well as external clients and vendors. • Excellent interpersonal, organizational skills with an ability to communicate ideas (verbal and written) to others at appropriate levels, in a clear concise manner. • Strong analytical ability. • Demonstrated problem management skills and the ability to identify issues and proactively determine ways to resolve them. • The ability to promote cooperation among peers, subordinates, superiors and other teams toward achieving team and corporate goals. • The ability to mentor subordinates in skills that they need to develop and to advance in their career path. • Demonstrated ability to review others technical designs and development work to ensure quality and consistency. • Prior experience in an operations lead/manager role is a plus.TO APPLY PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW https://www4.recruitingcenter.net/Clients/affinion/PublicJobs/controller.cfm?jbaction=JobProfile&Job_Id=10429&esid=az
