PPC operations also include Paramount Digital Entertainment, Paramount Home Entertainment, Paramount Pictures International, Paramount Licensing Inc., Paramount Studios and Worldwide Television Distribution.Description:The Manager, Inventory Planning is responsible for managing, monitoring and overseeing the inventory balance with the distribution vendor. The Manager will be making manufacturing decisions, analyze demand requirements and inventory levels. S/he will work closely with other departments such as IT, raw materials, and operations. The Manager will be the primary point of contact for Technicolor and will be supervising 4 to 5 people. Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:*Oversee finished goods inventory planner purchase orders for all of US*Ensure orders are being placed by our planners and received by vendors in a timely fashion. *Ensure that FG planners have the appropriate tools and information at hand in order to make sound inventory decisions. *Validate SAP MRP processes to make sure system is operating @ appropriate levels to support sales. *Manage the production and timely delivery of FG inventory (both rental and sell through) to support sales*Track and update FG mfg info vs. sales projections in order to meet street date sales without creating surplus inventory. *Coordinate with creative, RM and FG planners, master data, BOMs to ensure everyone is headed the same direction and with the appropriate timeline to support the retailer's requirements. *Manage inventory for both the national version and custom retailer to support US club promotions (Sams, Costco and BJs) *Provide direction, leadership, and guidance for current inventory planning staff. *Establish and maintain performance measurements for the direct reports. *Motivate and challenge staff to meet and exceed individual and departmental goals *Fine tune/revise current procurement processes for improved departmental performance *Ensure that both planners and vendors are addressing PO pricing discrepancies in a timely fashion (FG, Deluxe and TUS) *Investigate, classify, and develop a process to reduce pricing and invoicing discrepancies (FG, Deluxe and TUS) *US finished goods Inventory balancing *Investigate and take action to correct materials that are out of balance with vendor, daily (DLX and TUS) *Research failed transactions with vendors to determine required corrective action and fine tune *Process to reduce failures and automate the process.*Measure systemic cycle counts, scraps and inventory adjustments @ Distribution vendor.*Oversee FG backorders and ensure that backorders are filled in the most efficient manner *Communicate backorders and product availability dates for sales and customers (as needed) *Proactively manage inventory to ensure minimal loss of sales without increase in overall inventory levels*Physical Inventory Audit *Plan, coordinate and execute annual physical inventory for US @ Technicolor. *Measure and report on inventory accuracy along with the condition of PHE inventory at Technicolor *Vendor open order report management *Reconcile open order reports with TUS and Sony*Investigate FG delivery delays caused by vendor issues & internal issues. *Ensure PO due dates in SAP are accurate.Qualifications:Basic qualifications:*Minimum 5 years of experience-preferably in home entertainment*3 years of management experience*Experience with SAP is highly desirableDesired skills:*Strong attention to detail*Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities*APICS certification or similar experience in an operations environment a plus*Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environmentEligibility requirements:* Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered * Must be willing to submit to a background investigation* Must be able to show eligibility to work in the United StatesParamount Pictures is an Equal Opportunity EmployerSalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceJob Location: Hollywood, CAJob Number: 5263Company URL: http://www.paramount.com/careers
