Marketing Analyst

The Marketing Analyst is accountable for the analysis of customer market research and to ensure customer satisfaction by designing and executing research to prove business results for the client; for the analysis of Company promotion results to increase productivity, profitability and revenue stream. Incumbent also has responsibility for working with the Director and Account Managers in the development of sales and promotion strategy, planning and scheduling to ensure profitable results. 

 

Core Duties/Responsibilities:

 Assist Director in setting research objectives and developing consumer insight opportunities.  Assist with quantitative research design.  Analyze market research findings and make strategic recommendations to Director and Company management.Analyze promotion productivity, profitability and performance. Provide management with continuous tracking and reporting on promotion results, current market conditions and competitive status of Company. Monitor scheduling and deliverables to ensure adherence to deadlines. 

 

Education and Experience: 

 

BA or equivalent in Marketing and/or finance with 2-3 plus years of professional work experience in Media or Marketing research, with emphasis on statistics and analysis.  Employer will consider equivalent combination of education and experience that provides necessary qualifications to successfully perform the duties of the position.

 

Necessary Knowledge, Ability and Skills:

 Must have knowledge of key market research principles and statistical analysis.  Experience with advertising promotion evaluation desired but not mandatory. Excellent listening and creative problem solving skills with ability to handle multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment. Well developed communication and presentation skills. Self-directed, with demonstrated initiative.Computer proficiency and knowledge of personal computer spreadsheet and database language is essential.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to be used both internally and externally through constant contact with co-workers and customers.  Excellent analytical and problem solving skills are a must.Background in working cross functionally across an organization.
