Reporting to: Director, Marketing

Location: Ft. Lee, New Jersey

Hours of Operation: 9am - 6pm

The Marketing Assistant (Temp) position will assist the Director of Marketing and Marketing team with administrative duties and market-related duties, as well as help with the general upkeep of the Marketing Department. 

 

We are looking for a professional, team player, pleasant, strong follow up skills, fast learner, detail oriented individual who can multi-task and has exceptional organizational,  and computer skills to support the Director of Marketing, and the entire Market department with a positive “can do” attitude. This position will act as a liaison between Account Executives and vendors when appropriate.  Ideal candidate is energetic, efficient and capable of multi-tasking for a variety of personalities in a lively fast paced environment.

 

Job Responsibilities include:

· Perform administrative duties including overseeing calendars, making travel arrangements, answering phones, filing, faxing and copying

· Create marketing presentations by compiling data; developing presentation formats and materials using Excel and PowerPoint; creating and/or maintaining one-sheet and media kits.

· Assist Marketing team with preparing and faxing proposals

· Assist in marketing planning calendar

· Maintain account and vendor lists and client database

· Update managers by consolidating, analyzing and forwarding daily action summaries

· Obtain invoices for clients/agencies as needed; interacting closely with the department to ensure smooth execution of marketing projects

Assist with mass product mailings, assist in trade show and event planning, creating or updating presentation software files, tracking budgets and expenses, and communicating with external creative service providers. 

· Knowledge Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, STRONG EXCEL AND POWERPOINT SKILLS A MUST, and File Maker Pro.

· Works as a team with other departments and individuals.

· Ad hoc projects as needed

All employees are expected to bring a positive attitude to the work place and be cheerful, cooperative and productive and to perform other such duties as may be required for the efficient operations of the stations.  To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  In addition, the right candidate:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications or similar area preferred

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) with the following skills: presentations, data entry, reporting, and internet research

Must be a professional and a proven team player

Previous sales and/or fashion experience, a plus
