Marketing Manager (Publishing) (3021081 PH)
Responsibilities:
·P&L responsibility for reaching or exceeding budgeted financial goals in one or more of our key customer retention categories - saves and reinstatement, customer longevity, cross sell, and remittance - using a variety of communication media.
·Responsible for the P&L of multiple product lines, ensuring maximum profitability and growth.
·Participate in a variety of special projects as requested on both product level and company level. Evaluate profitability, potential and risks of each product test and new projects.
·Manage strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting, and provide leadership to product management staff to ensure the successful planning and execution of marketing activities.
·Responsible for development, implementation and analysis of traditional direct response campaigns including direct mail, package inserts and alternative media.
·Work closely with editorial, creative, research, media, operations, customer service, etc.
Qualification and Skills Requirements:
Education: BS with major in Marketing or Finance and MBA in Marketing/International Business with emphasis on advanced quantitative curriculum
Experience:4-6 years in direct marketing environment, preferably with experience in both acquisition and retention marketing. Must have experience in the following medium DM, PI, LW-inserts, Telemarketing, and have other medium exposure. Continuity experience is a plus.
Specialized Knowledge/Skills: Keen project management skills with ability to interact with and motivate others to succeed on several fronts simultaneously. Possess superior written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical, technical, and mathematical abilities. Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines for a variety of marketing "deliverables". Demonstrate initiative with a results orientation, while exhibiting strong drive and leadership skills. Range of tactical knowledge and skills including: financial analysis, testing efforts, quantitative methods and analytics, list segmentation and selection, campaign planning and execution, and new product development. Previous supervisory experience and the ability to develop, train and manage.
