Marketing Project Manager (Contract)

Contract employee needed for 6-9 month project.  Only those interested in contract positons need to respond.

 

General Summary:

 ·  Ensures that the design and delivery of existing IBM Websphere re-platforming project is meeting the needs of the business sponsor.  Will ensure business goals are met by: - Interfacing with business areas to analyze and document the business operation, business and functional requirements, and ongoing support needs.    - Understanding current business environment and deliverables which helping design subsequent processes; ensuring existing needs are meet/exceeded with new platform design   - Project managing tasks and responsibilities for this specific project and related initiatives as directed by Web Marketing team. These tasks and responsibilities will range from analysis, development, process planning, testing & QA, training and support as required.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
·  Liason between the Web Marketing Department, MIS and vendors (Brulant, Cheetah Mail, Coremetrics, BazaarVoice) to ensure re-platforming is meeting business needs of the company.·  Represent needs of the various functional areas of the company, identifying business process improvement opportunities·  Assist in prioritizing all requests; preparing business impact analyses, ROI analyses and recommendations·  Work with MIS to translate business needs into functional requirements·  Partner with the development and technical services groups on methodology and approach on all deliverables·  Escalate priority and/or unresolved issues as defined in escalation procedures.·  Monitor and proactively resolve, follow-up or escalate all pending issues in the Business Analysis queue.·  As appropriate, contribute to the documentation and maintain the administration and knowledge base.·  Coordinate and/or performs other Project activities as required for marketing projects, and user acceptance assurance as required.·  Deliver/contribute to end user training, education and documentation as required.·  Maintain appropriate skill set and awareness of tools, technology and methodologies.

Job Specifications:

·  Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience·  Previous replatforming experience in retail environment; preferably migrating to WebSphere using Brulant as integrator.·  eCommerce business, web site development knowledge, and web analytics·  Industry awareness of commerce tools, vendors, UI and online marketing technologies & techniques·  Proven Project Management and Analysis experience·  Strong Skills in the following areas:

Meeting management  Experience/Knowledge:·  Previous experience working on Site Re-Platforming and/or Site Redesign required
