Marketing Research Analyst

SUMMARY

 

Supports the marketing department by executing a variety of market research and analysis projects.  Provides expertise in the effective utilization of the customer relationship management system.  Assists in the coordination and analysis of Computershare’s webinar program, which supplies clients and prospects with free online learning presentations.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

 

¨  Designs, develops, documents and implements qualitative and quantitative marketing research.

¨  Obtains competitive and trend data, including Internet analysis.

¨  Researches and maintains key corporate statistics needed for marketing materials.

¨  Provides expertise in the effective utilization of the customer relationship management system (Siebel).

¨  Serves as marketing’s voice to the Siebel team regarding marketing’s needs as they relate to Siebel.

¨  Extracts data and run statistical analysis as needed.

¨  Coordinates the webinar program for clients and prospects, which includes running session statistics, developing and maintaining a contact database and tracking attendance.

¨  Develops metrics to determine the effectiveness of marketing programs; including creating post-campaign response tracking reports as well as a more detailed campaign response analysis, which can be used to design strategies for future campaigns.

¨  Oversees lead generation and lead input in database(s) from events.

¨  Participates in focus group and client survey initiatives.

¨  Executes a variety of project requests related to marketing research and statistical analysis.

¨  Assist in the maintenance of the marketing department’s Intranet site.

¨  Assists in developing and maintaining of a marketing dashboard.

¨  Research policies and procedures as they relate to marketing for business continuity documentation.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

LANGUAGE ABILITY 

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. 

 

MATHEMATICAL ABILITY 

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 

 COMPUTER SKILLS 

- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint required; Hyperion and Siebel a plus.
