MIDWEST FIELD MARKETING MANAGER

 

Local Field Marketing Manager (FMM) to activate local marketing activities and drive case volume for a beverage brand. The FMM will be employed by the promotions agency but will work exclusively on business with a Top 3-Beverage provider, Fortune 500 Company.  The position will be based in Chicago and support Minneapolis and Wisconsin.

 

The FMM will work with Brand Marketing, Sales, Consumer Promotion Agency and Broker personnel to influence key buyers and managers of foodservice accounts, grocery, liquor and other retail stores and to develop and execute promotion activities with consumers.

 

The FMM’s key initiatives are driving business development activities in the territory, including assisting with account, broker and distributor calls, as well as executing incentive programs, merchandising activities, promotions and samplings. FMM will need to maintain a high level of customer service via regular account and store visits, work closely with Brand, Sales, Broker and Distributor.

 

The optimal FMM candidate will have 7+ years of experience in retail consumer packaged goods sales, understand thoroughly the retailer/sales broker relationship and have a well-developed connection to foodservice account buyers. Previous sales/field marketing in liquor sales and knowledge of the 3-tiered beverage sales environment would be a major plus.

 

A working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Internet Explorer in both a PC and Mac environment is helpful.

 

Budget management and timely weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting are required.  Light travel with overnight stays will be required.  Evening and weekend activity required.

 

Compensation is based on relative experience.  Automobile will be provided.
