We have an opportunity for a Mobile Marketing Platform Manager within the Mobile Marketing Practice here at Studiocom who will assist with the development and support of Studiocom’s Mobile Marketing platform.  You will be touching all aspects of the discipline while mentored directly by the Mobile Practice Lead.  This position requires that you be a self starter that takes initiative and drives tasks to completion with little guidance from your manager. Additionally, it requires that you are also a quick learner and able to adopt new technologies and processes.  The Mobile Marketing practice fosters an environment that encourages true agile and paired development and as such requires that this person either reside in or relocate to Atlanta.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Designing, developing, unit testing and implementing highly scalable, performance, and available complex software from the ground up.

· Providing support and answer questions about design and implementation from fellow developers, creative and client services.

· Assisting the mobile marketing lead in creating rapid prototypes to be used by business development and client services in new business pitches.  

· Understanding and reviewing functional requirements, writing technical specs, providing clear guidelines to operations for implementing new products and answering/driving solutions to complex technical and implementation issues.

· Identifying problems and opportunities, and championing solutions.

· Taking leadership in owning features/bugs and driving them to completion

· Working closely with the mobile practice lead to design, develop, and deploy a mobile marketing platform capable of executing award winning mobile campaigns.

· Reviewing and providing feedback during functional and technical spec reviews.

· Unit testing new features and additions.

· Researching and evaluating new technologies and solutions.

· Being a technical leader for the team, sharing responsibility with other senior team members to be the go to person for technical problems, questions and suggestions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years of software design and development.

· Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Math, EE or equivalent experience in field.

· Expert in design and development using Java and other object oriented techniques.

· Expertise in object oriented design and development and have a through and deep understanding of the internet and related technologies (DNS, HTML, AJAX, etc.).

· Ability to cover a wide range of disciplines from idea creation, requirements gathering, design, coding, and testing.  

· Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.

· Ability to work both individually and in a team environment.

· Expert in cross group communication, able to get buyoff from business, operations and peers.

· Working knowledge of relational databases and MySQL server.

 

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED

· Experience using full software lifecycle methodologies

· Solid written and communication skills should be able to effectively communicate ideas and design in to the team and operations.

· Demonstrated ability to work cross-group well.

· Solid experience in creating technical design and developing high performance software using object oriented technologies.

· Proven track record of having participated in at least one complete successful product/project life cycle.
