NATIONAL SALES MANAGER

New England manufacturing company is seeking a National Sales Manager to join their prestigious company.

Overall Responsibility

Oversees national sales programs for company products and services. Develops sales objectives, strategies, advertising, and promotions. Makes recommendations to management regarding opportunities to maximize sales. Responsible for training and managing Independent Sales Representatives. Required to attend several trade shows and conferences each year to promote and market products. Reports directly to the General Manager of the company.

Specific Responsibilities

*Recruit, manage and train Independent Representatives.
*Follow up with existing customers.
*Represent the company at shows and conferences.
*Follow up on all sales leads.
*Proactively develop and improve products and services.
*Develop annual sales budgets and ensure that they are met when approved.
*Develop and monitor the sales expense budget.
*Have an excellent working knowledge of our products and services.
*Coordinate closely with other divisions to ensure to ensure the company is using its best efforts to promote our products and services.
*Make recommendations as required to ensure the growth of the business.
*Develop and maintain a strong work relationship with key industry contacts, agents, suppliers and sub-contractors.

Requirements

*Five years or more experience with a track record in selling products or services.
*Successfully managed a sales force.
*Demonstrated business skills related to budgeting, training, writing, presentation and selling products and services to clients.
*Successfully worked in a small company environment.
*Demonstrated ability to work independently.
*Dedicated to improving results.
*Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills.
*Demonstrated leadership, communication, and listening skills.
*Capable of establishing and meeting goals and objectives.
*Ability to analyze data and present succinct reports.
*Ability to travel 50% of the time.
*Ability to work effectively with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
*Familiarity with the firearms industry.
*Bachelors Degree PreferredRelocation for this position may not be necessary
