New Business Development Manager

Emerald Group Publishing Limited is a leading publisher of print and electronic journals to business schools, public sector & corporate organisations, currently with multimillion dollar sales in the US.  We are seeking to recruit the following to join our expanding organization: New Business Development Manager – US based Salary negotiable   · Achieving new business sales targets for Emerald content in academic, corporate and public organizations across all business sectors;· Developing prospect lists of organisations through utilising Web based research, email, direct marketing, directories, conferences, exhibitions, advertising and telephone contact to identify new customers;· Making frequent sales visits to qualified prospects; · Negotiating a range of content, delivery, pricing and licensing options in liaison with the Regional Manager. With at least three years’ experience in sales, the ideal candidate will be articulate, persuasive and organized and be able to demonstrate high level presentation and negotiation skills. Computer literacy, financial acumen, excellent written and verbal communication skills and a good level of general education (ideally to degree level) will be essential.  The role demands a proactive, enthusiastic and self-motivated team player who is able to quickly establish relationships with people at all levels.
