Online Product Manager-Outdoors
The Online Product Manager is responsible for the daily content and business needs of the brands'/markets' web sites. The Online Product Manager is the brand's primary point of contact with IM for all online projects and will be the main point of contact for the online sales manager to develop online custom solutions in conjunction with IM.
Position Responsibilities:
Supports their market group's online efforts with a focus on revenue generation and driving traffic.
Builds annual financial plans with brand leadership and monitors the financial performance, budgets and forecasts of the brand online.
Serves as the key point of contact with IM in the development and execution of site launches.
Serves as key point of contact with IM to develop new products through the ROI process.
Coordinates online content execution to meet audience content needs and drive incremental traffic.
Works closely with market sales executives to develop sales/marketing solutions that address client/market needs and leverages IM modules.
Works closely with IM, circulation and book groups to drive e-commerce on all brand sites.
Develop and maintain knowledge of core markets.
Stay current with online research & technologies, online publishing, online advertising and online marketing practices.
Educational & Position Requirements:
Bachelors degree with minimum three years previous experience in online business.
Working knowledge of online technologies including database solutions, basic html and APIs.
General business financial skill; exceptionally solid in budgeting, forecasting and product pricing.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Project management knowledge.
Working knowledge of publishing technologies including ad serving technologies, content management systems and internet product data tracking tools.
