Online and Print Account Executives Wanted!!!

The San Francisco Chronicle/SFGate.com is currently seeking aggressive and talented sales individuals to join its growing and dynamic Advertising Sales Department.  The Chronicle is the Bay Area's leading source of news information, and we strive to maintain a strong presence in our market place.  As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for generating new business and driving revenue in sales categories which include National, Local and Key Retail, Classified, and Niche advertising platforms.  If you are driven by money, have excellent prospecting and closing skills, this is the job for you!Requirements:. 


-Achieving personal and department sales goals
-Direct selling of all SFGate/Chronicle products
-Daily prospecting of competitive media for new clients
-Prepare and present advertising presentations to new and existing accounts
-Present benefits of SFGate/San Francisco Chronicle products versus competitive media
-Develop effective advertising programs to meet advertisers' marketing objectives
-Budget and planning with accounts
-Acquiring and retaining new advertising customers for Chronicle/SFGate.com
-Produce weekly sales reports and monthly sales plans
-Participate as a member of a team to move that team toward completion of goals
-Provide daily advertising materials on deadline in a timely & organized manner

Requirements:
-2-3 years progressively responsible media/business to business sales experience with demonstrated success managing and developing territory revenues. 
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to motivate oneself to achieve personal and department goals
-Ability to ask questions which elicit critical information
-Ability to translate customer marketing objectives into creative and effective newspaper advertising campaigns
-Ability to understand complex marketing and competitive data and to relate that information to advertisers' objectives
-Ability to adapt objectives, sales approaches and behaviors in response to rapidly changing priorities and situations
-Ability to observe and comment critically on customer's business
-Competency in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and FileMaker Pro
-College degree preferred
