PR SPECIALIST

PRINCIPAL FUNCTION

Primary responsibilities include media relations, writing internal and external communications, media training, events logistics, research and project management. Work in partnership with branding, advertising, public relations, clients, events and outside agencies. RESPONSIBILITIESPitch story ideas to media on a weekly and monthly basisManage the creation & distribution of all press releases, photos, and media alerts for Monster MediaCoordinate public events, speeches, and other presentations Maintain media and marketing research database Track publicity and advertising value for all print and media coverage Coordinate volunteers to assist with special events and projects Act as liaison for special events and activities with the media Serve as support liaison for outside agency services as needed Catalog and archive all promotional and marketing materialsGenerate and implement media strategies with the Client Services and Operations TeamManage and facilitate all media requests including radio and print interviewsOversee photography and video shoots for all Monster Media programs (as required) Prepare and disseminate all press materials and alerts to local, state and national mass and trade media Contribute to updating the company website and various web pages which represent the company including YouTube

REQUIREMENTSProven ability to handle a high volume of detailed work, multi task and continuously prioritize tasksShould possess superior writing and communications skillsHave familiarity working with the trade pressCan interact with senior management and always meet deadlinesMinimum of two years experience preferred
