PR Sr. Account Executive, Technology

The West Coast Technology practice of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide is seeking a strong Senior Account Executive.  The ideal candidate will have experience in technology PR, preferably in storage.

Responsibilities include:
- Work independently to implement the full spectrum of public relations tactics including writing press releases, pitching to news media, coordinating news conferences, arranging editorial boards, coordinating special events, preparing collateral materials, placing print and broadcast advertising, etc.
- Interact with clients and vendor contacts in a professional demeanor at all times.
- Understand overall client strategies and help develop strategies as needed by working with supervisor.
- Work independently and manage day-to-day implementation of client activities.
- Define client problems and creative challenges, stimulate and participate in brainstorming sessions, and evaluate creative ideas from clients and staff.
- Potentially supervise account work performed by account executives, assistant account executives and/or interns

Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrate mastery over all basic communication skills, including writing, proofing, editing, and public speaking.
- The ability to gain a comprehensive level of understanding of the accounts you work on, including their business, products, markets, personnel, outside influencers, etc. and be able to concisely convey this knowledge to the media and account team members.
- Solid understanding of all public relations tools and be able to recommend a variety of strategies to your clients.
- You should have between three and five years of agency experience and a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Tech PR experience preferred, particularly in storage technology.
