Description:ResponsibilitiesForecast capacity requirements in one key area (e.g.: mainframe, open/distributed systems, network, or storage).Assists in the development of new and enhancement of existing models used to forecast capacity requirements.Develops hardware plans to meet short- and long-term Company objectives, arranges test trial periods, and measure results.Recommends improvements in systems and applications performance.Reviews workload changes and recommends configuration of the hardware and software environments to maximize systems utilization and minimize cost of operations.Develops and supports tools and methodologies for providing customer billing information, based on resource utilization, and to support product costing.Provides technical advice and guidance to less experienced associates. Demonstrated proficiency at modeling within Microsoft Excel, including the use of Macros and programming in Visual Basic for Applications.In-depth knowledge of business systems and industry requirements.Excellent interpersonal, analytical/ troubleshooting, documentation, and communications skills.Excellent presentation and communication skills; must be able to effectively present to and interact with senior managers.Experience in one or more Windows/UNIX/DASD/Database/Network Reporting Systems/SAS/SQL.About the OpportunityAnalyze and forecast capacity requirements. Complete value added analyses of performance and capacity based on information gathered through generation and analysis of performance management and system utilization reports, reviews of hardware and software technologies utilized and review of current operational procedures.Provide technical advice and guidance to associates and senior leadership.
