Find Accounting Software is a lead generation service for accounting and business software sales organizations. Using the Internet as the primary marketing channel, Find Accounting Software provides key sales lead information to accounting and business software sales firms. The main public website, FindAccountingSoftware.com, is an independent, free resource for companies searching for appropriate software for their accounting and business needs. The website features an extensive directory of software developer and product profiles for software buyers conducting research. Companies seeking additional assistance with their software search can elect to submit specific software requirements via the website. At this point, a Find Accounting Software representative contacts the software buyer and gathers the information necessary to conduct a customized software search for their organization. Find Accounting Software has a partner membership of hundreds of software sellers who pay an annual fee to be alerted to and matched with appropriate opportunities for their software offerings.
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Find Accounting Software is seeking an individual with a strong work ethic and good communication skills for the Project Specialist position. Project Specialists are part consultant, part inside salesperson, and part customer service representative. The ideal candidate for the position should be self-motivated and comfortable on the phone with business contacts ranging from office managers to corporate executives. The main role of the Project Specialist is to guide prospective software buyers through a 15-30-minute needs-analysis phone interview. Upon completing the needs-analysis interview, Project Specialists proceed to create a summary documenting the software buyer's requirements. Project Specialists are responsible to make sure that the details of each sales lead are properly distributed to the Find Accounting Software customer base of software sellers.
The daily responsibilities of Project Specialists include:
1. Placing calls to business contacts who have requested Find Accounting Software's assistance with their company software search.
2. Clearly providing an explanation of the service to software searchers.
3. Conducting the needs-analysis interview.
4. Documenting the requirements of each software search.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
High School graduate with additional college level courses in business, marketing, accounting, technology, communications or other relevant subjects
WORK:
Work experience involving business-to-business communications would be highly valued. Successful Project Specialists often have a sales, cold-calling, or customer service background.
SKILL SET:Ability to communicate clearly in both writing and orally with prospects, partners, and colleaguesAbility to listen and understand direction when being trained for business tasksAbility to grasp and explain the overall business model to software searchers Comfort level working with technologyA general familiarity with MS Office and Outlook is requiredA direct understanding of accounting software is not necessary, but the ability to grasp how organizations use these tools is requiredAttention to detail
