NetQuote is looking for Product Manager for our Agent Program.  If you love working with sales teams to help them grow the business, plus you love to spec out technical requirements, then we’ve got the job for you!

 

Description:

 

As our Agent product manager, you’ll collect information on our business goals and customer needs and translate them into technical requirements for our agent website, extranet and other online agent tools.  Your goal is to support the agent business – both in new agent enrollment and by building revenue and retention numbers with our current agent base. 

 

We’ll expect you to aggressively identify and pursue opportunities for improvements to the agent website and corresponding sales team software. You’ll define, track, and be held accountable to key site performance metrics.

 

Key Job Qualifications:

 A strong understanding of Internet and business technologies. Ability to analyze customer needs, competitive landscape, and marketplace opportunities in order to articulate the opportunity and rationale behind your website and software product development ideas.Ability to discern and prioritize business opportunities from other competing initiatives. Strong ability to envision and communicate site enhancement requirements to designers and developers.  Once approved, you’ll lead the development and creative teams in getting your projects executed.Solid experience developing and delivering analysis and reports is required.  You’ll work with a data warehouse and internal reporting systems. Ability to manage the day-to-day site and system issues that come up for your website, including identifying small quick opportunities for improvements or filing requests for bug resolutions.Rollout skills – you’ll need to create communication plans, and work with and educate our sales and services teams to make sure they understand how the site is changing and improving over time.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, vendors, clients, and other job contacts.

 

Additional Requirements

 5+ years of Internet and/or software product management experience – preferably b-to-b.Excellent analytical and statistical skills – familiarity with SQL query writing a big plus.BA / BS degree in marketing or related field.  MBA a strong plus.You will not be expected to write HTML code or design sites, but you should have a solid understanding user experience, interface, and information architecture principles for complex websites. Familiarity with Goldmine and other CRM tools a big plus.Self-starterCreative and resourceful problem solver.Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.Ability to adapt to and embrace change. Experience in coordinating resources and scheduling.Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to preserve confidential information.
