Product Marketing Engineer, V I Chip

Ideal candidate is looking to move from engineering into a marketing role!







Position Summary:

Candidate will be responsible for product marketing activities supporting V.I Chip Inc., including product planning, delivery, management and factory systems monitoring.
A self-starting, self-targeting problem-solving initiative is essential in this fast-growing company.

 

Responsibilities: Product definitionMarket definition & target customer identificationCompeting solution comparisons (technical and value)Specification control and approvalsAssist return on investment assessmentPrototypesSampling to alpha customers, monitoring technical and commercial feedback.Short-term (release -3m to release +6m) forecasting for new productsProduct release & promotionEnsure factory systems are correct for productionDefine / monitor product technical material (datasheets, application notes, etc.) Sample / demo board stocking and restocking as appropriate to ensure short leadtimes for customer prototypesMonitor product sales vs. original forecasts. Define and create technical content (e.g. cross-referencing & competitor comparisons) for promotional activities including industry tradeshows, conferences, etc. and work with Marcom on final materials.Create and host product launch training for worldwide Sales & ApplicationsMonitor effectiveness of promotional activities and optimize future programs.Write (author / co-author) and present conference white papers & articlesFactory contact and focus for all product related issuesPricing updatesProduct Change NotificationQuality issues, etc.Portfolio managementTactical delivery issues (working with customer service, sales & field applications to ensure optimum distribution) Communicate short-term product roadmaps to field.

 

Minimum Requirements:

·  BSEE or related degree

·  2-3 years related sales/marketing or engineering experience

·  Excellent written & oral skills

·  Knowledge of related products/lines, competitors and technologies preferred.
