Program Manager - Medical Education
Assist Program Director in all aspects of publications and medical education programs (symposia, print material, slide kits, video/audio/CD-ROM programs, etc) Communication· Maintain constant communication regarding program status with Program Director, Editorial, Meetings, and Production· Correspondence with faculty, journals, and clients as directed by Program Director· Coordinate internal and external meetings as needed · Attend daily program meeting· Attend weekly status meeting when necessary· Attend meetings with clients and faculty as necessary Project Management· Manage day-to-day aspects of assigned programs, including publications, under direction of Program Director · Develop and manage program materials from copy through print production · Develop and maintain program timelines under direction of Program Director · Assist in executing ad hoc client requests as needed · Submit and track job folders through account services, art, editorial, IT, medical, meetings, and production departments · Review job folders returning from internal departments for accuracy· Maintain accurate and orderly files on each program· Prepare freelance writer packets as necessary· Review weekly internal status report of assigned programs· Monitor progress of publications in publications tracking system Content Management· As assigned, identify and recruit faculty· Develop meeting agendas and program outlines under direction of faculty and client and in consultation with Program Director· Facilitate faculty participation in programs· Manage freelance writers as needed · Incorporate revisions to program outlines and manuscripts from medical accuracy, faculty, and peer-review journal comments as needed · Assist faculty in manuscript submission process as necessary · Ensure overall editorial quality of program materials· Ensure medical/scientific accuracy of content in consultation with Program Director, faculty, and/or client medical directors· Ensure client direction was followed and product marketing messages are included in consultation with Program Director· As assigned, obtain all review comments and approvals on materials from client and faculty as necessary· Conduct research as directed by Program Director or Associate Program Director· Obtain journal references· Read trade journals· Learn about product and therapeutic category Miscellaneous· Various administrative responsibilities as assigned (may delegate to team program coordinator) · Learn and maintain knowledge of internal and client publication process · Use Microsoft office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint· Previous experience managing publications projects required We offer a competitive salary and a generous, comprehensive benefit plan including a dollar for dollar match on the first 5% of 401K contributions, up to $6,000/year tuition reimbursement, a company paid career cash balance plan, and stock options.
