Project Manager

Project Manager’s Primary Objectives

Ensure the smooth execution and successful delivery of services and deliverables to clients and fostering long-term relationships with them.

Clients and Projects

Ÿ Manage project to meet deliverables and timelines as set out in the Statement of Work

Ÿ Meet regularly with Clients (as agreed to with Client) to:

o  Ensure Client satisfaction work being performed

o  Solicit feedback on performance of Contractors

o  Ongoing review of project objectives and direction

o  Provide strategic and tactical advice

o  Build and maintain long term relationship

o  Report budget and timeline status (depending on Client requirements)

o  Report and resolve potential and real issues proactively

Ÿ Ensure quality of deliverables through regular and spot check reviews of deliverables

Ÿ Identify obstacles to successful execution of services and resolve

Ÿ Manage project scope

Ÿ Work with Obsidian Office Manager and Client to resolve invoicing issues

Ÿ Identify specialized skills requirements (i.e. Strategist) and communicate requirements to Obsidian team.

Ÿ Work with Sales team (Sales, VP Ops, Strategists) to write SOW.

 

Contractor Management

Ÿ Build and maintain relationship with Contractors

Ÿ Review deliverables

Ÿ Provide strategic guidance and tactical direction to Contractors

Ÿ Identify roadblocks and issues and resolve

Ÿ Provide project orientation and support

Ÿ Work with Recruiting to ensure contracts are current

Ÿ Introduce and integrate into Client project

Ÿ Resolve performance issues

Ÿ Meet regularly to review project timelines, deliverables and project objectives and direction

Ÿ Provide client feedback

Ÿ Approve timesheets / invoices

 

Creative Contractor Management

Ÿ Build and maintain relationships

Ÿ Work with Communications Consultant / Contractor to identify creative requirements.

Ÿ Solicit bids and reach agreement with Client on deliverables and price (get approval)

Ÿ Write Statement of Work and manage contracts

Ÿ Resolve issues

Ÿ Manage timeline

Ÿ Coordinate between Consultant / Contractor and Creative Contractor

Ÿ Approve invoices

 

Recruiting

Ÿ Work with Sales and Recruiting to identify project skills requirements

Ÿ Review resumes for potential candidates

Ÿ Interview candidates

Ÿ Work with Recruiting to keep Contractor contracts current

 

Sales

Ÿ Attend sales calls as directed by VP Ops.

Ÿ Collaborate with VP Ops and Sales on proposal writing / review

Ÿ Identify sales opportunities at existing client sites and communicate to Sales / VP Ops

 

Internal Initiatives

Ÿ Provide appropriate support to internal initiatives as necessary

Ÿ Identify areas for improvement and potential resolution

Ÿ Share best practices and success stories

Ÿ Direct efforts and activities towards achieving strategic goals of company

 

Professional Development

Ÿ Work with VP Ops and President  for direction on key areas of development to meet corporate goals.

Ÿ Stay current on industry trends (Project Management, Client Industries, IT)
