Public Relations Manager

Elias/Savion Advertising, Inc., a full-service marketing, advertising, public relations, inter@ctive and private broadcasting agency located in the heart of Pittsburgh’s cultural district, is growing its award-winning public relations practice.  We seek a full-time Public Relations Manager to join our results-driven team. 

 

The successful candidate will be able to excel in a dynamic, full-service, fully integrated agency environment.  The successful candidate will also be able to execute a full array of public relations tactics and activities, including (but not limited to):

 

o        Media relations (strategic planning, news release development, media list development, media pitching, etc.)

o        News monitoring and analysis

o        Special events planning and management

o        Community outreach

o        Account coordination (preparation of status reports, media coverage reports, account activity reports, etc.)

o        Strategic, creative copywriting across a host of communications platforms (brochures, product sheets, newsletters, byline articles, etc.).  Ability to write for a variety of audiences/industries is essential.

 

Qualifications include (but are not limited to) the following: 

  Bachelor of Science in English, communications, journalism or related field. Minimum of seven years of experience as a communications professional.  Experience should cover a broad range and should relate directly to the public relations practice.  Must have a comprehensive understanding of the modern media and the public relations practice. Must have a demonstrated ability to develop compelling, creative copy across the entire marketing/communications spectrum.  Must be keenly adept at finding and executing creative solutions to various communications projects and to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Must also be able to work in collaboration with other PR, advertising, design and inter@ctive professionals in an integrated agency.    Strong communications skills.  Must be able to effectively communicate with team members, agency senior management, and the media.  Must have the ability to interact directly with clients.  This includes active participation in client meetings, strategic/brainstorming sessions, etc.  Must be detail-oriented and committed to maintaining a high level of professionalism.  Proficiency in Microsoft Word and other related software programs. Prior agency experience a plus.
