Program Manager
Direct Impact is seeking a manager level candidate with a strong understanding of public relations and how it relates to grassroots communications. Ideal candidates will have experience with corporate branding and consumer products as well as expertise with public education and/or advocacy campaigns. Candidates must have strong writing skills, project and account management skills and the ability to serve as the front-line manager and client relationship manager for large accounts.

The candidate will oversee planning and execution of multi-market client programs and will be responsible for making significant contributions to strategic direction for a client.

Primary Responsibilities include:

§ Supervise external grassroots field operatives on a project basis.

§ Provide counsel, strategy and direction of accounts.

§ Provide ideas to clients to maximize campaign results and/or anticipate issues.

§ Manage project profitability and financial aspects of accounts.

§ Develop grassroots communications plans for clients.

§ Assist with developing and pitching new business opportunities for Direct Impact

Ideal candidates must have minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in public relations, public education or other related communications field. Experience with media and special events is required. Public relations agency or other client-facing experience preferred.

Additional Qualifications:Experience drafting press releases, media advisories and other press materials Skilled at developing and delivering presentations and pitches for clients and prospective clients.Ability to think creatively.Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
