Public relations account supervisor needed with proven media track record
Cohn & Wolfe is an international communications agency servicing some of the best-known brands in the world. Although our craft is public relations, our business is brand marketing. Our mission is to help clients create, build and defend brands. We achieve this by taking our proprietary research, rooted in vast consumer databases, and injecting those insights deep into our well-oiled creative sessions. Nothing we produce is paint-by-numbers. We do no programming “off the shelf.” And we do it all with service-minded passion. Cohn & Wolfe "competes equally well against giant multinational agencies or hot creative boutiques, by being both safe and sexy,” Holmes Report. http://www.cohnwolfe.com/
We currently have an opening in our SAN FRANCISCO office for a talented Account Supervisor with technology experience. This is an opportunity to work with one of the leading technology companies in the world. Through our work with our client counterparts for more than five years, we've developed a collaborative and fun working relationship that's built on trust, respect and a common desire to deliver great results. The account is one of the best run in the business that promises immense growth opportunities and a creative and dynamic environment. If you're an exceptional PR practitioner with a passion for technology media relations coupled with great management skills, then this is the job for you.
The ideal professional candidate will possess the following:
-- 6-8 years of public relations experience (agency preferred) working in Enterprise IT or technology consulting
-- Entrepreneurial style, balanced ability to be both creative and professional
-- Passion for media relations: a true media guru who loves pitching, loves the process, and loves results
-- Current relationships with high technology and business media, proven success placing stories
-- Solid background with Fortune 500 companies
-- Ability to provide hands-on client counsel and direction
-- Experience managing and mentoring junior staff
-- Proven experience developing plans, messaging, Q&A's, talking points
-- Excellent writing and presentation skills; attention to detail a must
-- Great attitude; team player
-- Bachelors degree required
We are seeking candidates with a proven media track record and a solid understanding of the communications and public relations landscape, so this opportunity is not appropriate for those looking for a career change.
