Position Title:

Revenue Accounting Manager

Position Summary:

Direct, manage and coordinate the operations, productivity and accuracy of the Company’s billing department of 3 individuals located in the Chantilly VA headquarters and the Princeton, NJ regional office. Interact with the general ledger group, ensuring proper accounting for all invoices and credit memos. Responsible for maintaining client data in the billing system, including division assignments, contract pricing and terms and payment terms. Responsible for continuous improvement of the billing and revenue recognition processes. Responsible for integrating the billing processes of future acquired companies.

Essential Functions:

 Oversee the billing process for all clients, including the collections process

 Supervise and manage the activities of the three individuals in the billing group

 Work closely with the general ledger group to ensure proper general ledger accounting for all invoices and credit memos

 Work closely with Management Information Systems group to insure proper recognition of all revenue items

 Participate in the client contract process, reviewing new client contracts terms and pricing to ensure proper billing and general ledger accounting

 Serve as the owner of the billing system and the data maintained in the billing system

 Assist the Accounting Department in the monthly close process as needed

 Respond to data requests and questions regarding accounts receivable from external and internal auditors

 Support the Corporate Controller and SEC Reporting Manager in the creation of SEC filings

 Serve as the central billing group contact for all divisions of the Company

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

 7 to 10 years billing experience

 3 to 5 years supervisory experience

Certifications:

 CPA desired

Required Skills:

 Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel

 Understands the application of generally accepted accounting principles

 Comfortable working with automated billing systems

 Strong analytical skills

 Considerable concern for detail

 Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

 Forward-thinking with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement

 Excellent oral and written communications skills

Preferred Skills:

 Oracle, especially the Advanced Pricing and Service Contracts modules of Oracle
