Fleishman-Hillard, recently recognized by the Holmes Report as the “International Agency of the Year” in its annual agency workplace survey, has an immediate opening for a Senior Account Executive in its highly visible New York Healthcare practice. The position provides the opportunity to work on exciting communications programs for breakthrough pharmaceutical products, develop key relationships with major pharmaceutical clients, and manage the strategic outreach to regulatory, media, third party organizations, healthcare professionals and consumers. Responsibilities • Coordinate plans for implementation of communications programs; ensure best practices and quality of deliverables. • Contact with media, third party organizations, physicians and caregivers. • Write various media materials and client media results reports. • Attend external meetings and events representing the agency and client (medical conferences, third party events). • Pitch and secure media placements; coordinate interviews. • Write and edit various media, reports and client materials. • Develop relationships with external audiences (media, third party organizations, caregivers). • Develop relationships and coordinate correspondence with external audiences: third party organizations, healthcare professionals, media, etc. Qualifications • Minimum 3-5 years of communications experience, preferably in an agency or corporate setting. • Interest and some experience in the healthcare industry preferred. • Experience in planning and implementing communications and media tactics. • Strong organizational skills; ability to juggle many projects and to prioritize . • Energetic, self-starter and problem solver – gets things moving and keeps them on track. • Ability to write clearly and concisely; target writing to audience. • Understanding and hands on experience with media environment: healthcare trade, national, consumer, business, bylines, spokespersons. • Understands the value of public relations to a client’s business and how to achieve measurable results. • Ability to work within team structure; ability to delegate projects, but continue to be responsible for bigger picture. • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word.Fleishman-Hillard’s reputation for quality, creativity, and results is the foundation of our distinguished status in the industry.
