Description:ResponsibilitiesGeneral Statement of Duties:Uses SAS programming skills to extract data from various source systems for reporting and analysis projects. Supports the Development and Analysis teams with in Decision Sciences. Completes ad-hoc requests for statistical analysis to support all projects with in Decision Sciences.Supervision Received:Works independently under general supervision of the Development team manager Supervision Exercised:Leads other team members on projectsExamples of Duties:(Any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all that maybe found in this job.)Creates large SAS data sets for the purposes of reporting and analysis from both mainframe and UNIX sourcesPerforms statistical analysis on large data sets (the ability to create logistic regression models is a plus)Completes ad-hoc analysis on requestEnsures complete analysis on assigned projects, including interpreting data and communicating results and recommendations to managementEnsures the execution of all design and test plans for development of new or upgraded reporting systemsLeads, trains and mentors less experienced team members on projectsQualifications:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Advanced knowledge of SQL, SAS, and JCLExcellent Microsoft Office skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to creatively solve problems with innovative solutionsAbility to identify and resolve all types of problemsProven ability to research, analyze and interpret dataAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously for self and othersAbility to provide leadership on projectsAbility to work with a variety of individuals at all levels and across various functional areasAbility to be highest tier of support and provide training and guidance to less experienced team membersMinimum Qualifications: Education:Associate Degree in Finance, Statistics, Accounting, Engineering, Business or equivalent knowledge and experienceExperience:4-6 years experience creating reports and performing data analysis with SAS in a mainframe or UNIX environmentDesirable:Essbase development experienceExperience with enterprise reporting tools (i.e. Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Cognos...)Six Sigma green belt certificationGeneral knowledge of Call Center operationsGeneral knowledge of account control systemsGeneral understanding of the Credit Card industrySalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceAlliance Data offers a competitive salary, a comprehensive selection of benefit options including 401(k).Job Location: Columbus, OHJob Number: 2660Company Profile:About UsAlliance Data (NYSE: ADS) is a leading provider of marketing, loyalty and transaction services, managing over 120 million consumer relationships for some of North America's most recognizable companies.
