We are seeking a motivated and energetic Senior Media Buyer who will be responsible for developing media plans, researching, negotiating and evaluating all advertising in support of the Home Show. The Senior Media Buyer determines the most appropriate medium to advertise in, at the best cost. This individual will serves as the senior media expert for ACS, and is responsible for executing media strategies. This position is a key member of the management team.
Must be a self-starter, highly organized with a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment. Polished presentation and interpersonal skills. Candidate must possess superior oral, written and communication skills. Strong project management and performance management skills. Demonstrated budget management and resource planning experience. The ability to successfully manage multiple internal and external initiatives/projects in a deadline-driven environment.
This is a great career opportunity, the responsibilities include the following:
· Develop, implement and manage the company's advertising strategy.
· Negotiate agreements.
· Supervise Marketing Department.
· Make staffing and hiring recommendations within Marketing Department.
· Implement departmental policies and practices and manage the department's financial performance (budget).
· Quality control of all correspondence and advertising.
· Maintain ultimate accountability for the quality, strategy and integrity of all media plans utilized to market the home shows; this includes the planning, buying and execution process; and managing/guiding the marketing staff in the continuous evaluation of and improvement upon media opportunities for each show.
· Develop, implement and monitor success of media/vendor relationships.
· Analyze and review attendee statistics to determine the effectiveness of advertising mediums.
· Evaluate the success or failure of advertising/marketing initiatives and plan for course correction and/or continual success.
· Analyze program results, translate the data and use it to create internal and external tools and references (i.e. lessons learned, guidelines, or similar).
· Actively contribute as a member of the management team in the development of strategic business goals and the successful delivery of results against those goals.
· Support colleagues and team members with special projects as needed or requested.
· Monitor trends in expo marketing and advertising and collaborate with the CEO to ensure that ACS is prepared for potential changes within the sector and positioned for success as an industry leader.
· Limited on-site assistance for American Consumer Shows events.
· Performs other duties, and projects, as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four (4) year, accredited college or university in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or related fields is a plus. A minimum of five (5) years of prior experience in media buying and the development and implementation of media planning strategies.
