Sales Manager, Custom Promotions

The Custom Promotions Sales Manager is responsible for increasing sales revenues for new custom promotions product division through one-on-one coaching, individualized account analysis and strategy review. The CP Sales Manager is expected to seek out and implement creative ways to close new accounts, sell more volume and increase revenue. This is a mid-level inside sales management position supervising a team of custom promotions sales associates. The manager is responsible for managing and directing the sales team to achieve MPI revenue objectives for assigned products.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Define, communicate, and hold accountable goals for sales associates
Provide ongoing training & development of new hires as well as tenured staff
Work with the appropriate departments such as marketing, merchandising, and fulfillment
Research and identify new products that will appeal to our customer base
Attend promotional product and apparel tradeshows to identify new products and establish better vendor relationships
Attend industry tradeshows and Job Fairs on behalf of the company in order to establish customer contacts and generate potential leads

Requirements:
4 year degree required or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 2-3 years prior inside sales management experience is a must
Demonstrated success managing an inside sales team
Retail experience is preferred
Previous experience with promotional products is a plus!
Excellent sales/customer service knowledge along with strong business sense
Results driven, detail oriented, and entrepreneurial spirit
Ideal candidate will have strong strategic planning, leadership, communication, time management and organization skills. Must be able to effectively balance long-term strategic analysis and planning with day-to-day tactical implementation.
