Persuadable Research Corporation is a fast growing, national provider of online research.  We provide custom consumer and B2B research to Fortune 1000 companies, advertising agencies, public relations firms, research companies, consultants and businesses across the country.

 

We are looking for people with a talent for high-level, consultative sales and a knack for establishing long term relationships with customers over the phone.  Candidates will work from home and must maintain a high speed internet connection to use company provided technology.

 

This job requires people to be equal parts consultants and salespeople, and further requires the instincts to understand when one role is required over the other.  Successful candidates must have the capacity to handle detail on a regular basis.  

 

This sales position offers a base salary plus commissions.  Previous marketing, strategic planning, advertising, or consulting experience desired.  Sales experience in marketing a plus.  Bilingual candidates who speak Spanish are also desired.

  1. We are a marketing research company.  If you are not excited or passionate about the world of marketing and advertising, you will be probably be miserable in this job.  The people who succeed must have a burning desire to be involved with this business in all respects: how advertising works, who are the people making the decisions and what information are they using to make their decisions. 2. This is a sales position--lots of cold calls, prospecting, client development and hand-holding.  It will take 3 to 6 months of hard slogging to get up to speed and start seeing sales. Furthermore, we're an entrepreneurial company, so the rules change often and without notice as we adjust to the changing marketplace.  This kind of environment is great for some people; it is terrifying for others. 3.  We are a technology driven company.  You work from home via a terminal server and a VoIP system.  If you know what that means, you're on the right track.  Our use of computers is intensive and constant.  You need to have a fundamental understanding of how computers work, be able to handle your own simple trouble-shooting, and have a knack for figuring out how to make software work for you.  Goldmine is our CRM tool.  We use it in every aspect of our sales efforts.  You must have a strong grasp of how to use MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.  A solid, dedicated high speed connection is required.   If you cannot make the technology work for you, you cannot work for us. 4.
