Search Engine Optimization Specialist

Dynamic and boutique interactive ad agency seeks a seasoned Search Engine Optimization Professional with a proven record to join its team in San Francisco.

 

This search marketing specialist will work closely with internal and external teams to develop strategic & tactical search engine optimization programs for Agency’s clients. The ideal candidate must have extensive knowledge of the following areas: organic SEO, SEM, keyword analysis, web analytics, social media, Search Engines Paid Inclusion services, and must have the ability to research and remain current in new search engine optimization techniques and search marketing trends. A passion to increase knowledge in the dynamic industry of search engine optimization is a must

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

As Search Marketing Specialist, you will:Work with our Head of SEO and account team to develop SEO  campaign strategy, select and recommend tactics, determine timing and assist in the estimation of costs Work with our account team to conduct SEO campaigns from A to Z including, but not limited to: conduct competitive analysis (including keyword analysis, link analysis, content analysis),  develop meta tag for web pages, modify web content for optimization purposes, modify website codes for optimization purposes, web uploads (such as landing page changes, web site content changes, functionality changes, submit web pages to search engines and directories), and Conduct ranking/traffic analysis of search engine optimization efforts, track changes in performance and recommend solutions Ability to analyze and generate monthly traffic intelligence reports utilizing key metrics, including soft and hard ROI data, and highlighting key traffic trends Be able to analyze campaign performance and pro-actively improve campaign performance within boundaries of SEO Ability to keep abreast with the Industry through participation in major SEM/SEO forums, blogs etc

 

Requirements:2 to 3 years hands-on experience in search engine marketing and optimization with understanding of how it fits into overall online advertising strategies Ability to capitalize success and to optimize campaigns Very knowledgeable with keyword analysis techniques and software Familiar with web analytics software, such as WebTrends, Urchin, HitBox, SiteCatalyst Familiar with the various tools for conducting keyword research, rank checking, link analysis etc Focused, detail oriented, organized task manager Strong interpersonal skills, work well with partners and clients Able to work under deadline. High level of motivation and energy Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and competitive environment Team player. Ability and desire to work with a diverse group of individuals and talents, to complete projects Google Professional Status and Yahoo Ambassador a plus

 

 

Technical Requirements:Familiarity with HTML and JavaScript coding a plus Experience working with in JavaScript, esp. with cookies Knowledgeable in image editing for the web, using PhotoShop CS, ImageReady CS Understanding or experience with “Web 2.0”/AJAX technologies a plus
