Senior Associate - Public Relations

 

Russell Herder, a Minneapolis-based advertising agency, is seeking a seasoned public relations professional to contribute to the agency’s continued growth. The person we’re seeking must be an innovative thinker with excellent writing and communications skills, be self-motivated, creative and detail-oriented.

 

This entrepreneurial position requires a successful track record of identifying and developing media and outreach opportunities for creative agencies and their clients.

 

Responsibilities include managing current client initiatives, developing public relations plans, crafting and pitching media-worthy content, newsletter copywriting, web content development and editorial writing. Media relations experience is required and candidates must be able to multi-task and work within deadlines.

 

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

 Solid understanding of general public relations goals and protocols Superior verbal and written communication skills Successful story placement in national media outlets Ability to counsel clients and participate in presentationsConduct media relations and must have existing relationships with news mediaDevelop and maintain contact lists, media lists and databases

 

To be considered, candidates must have 3-5 years of agency experience and a track record of producing results. A Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing or a similar field is highly preferred. If this sounds like you, we’re waiting to hear from you.
