GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager of Creative Services is responsible for the staff and activities of the Creative Services section of the Marketing/Advertising Division. The Creative Services section provides the entire agency with graphics, printing, production and collateral distribution support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Strategic long range planning Establishes section budgets. Direction of daily operations of the section Production planning and resource management Development of procurement instruments and contracts to support the section requirements Oversees the in-house printing facility. Produces and distributes information about DARTs progress to the general public. Responsible for the overall visual impression of DARTs vehicles, signage, promotions. Provides agency-wide graphic, marketing, and collateral support Responsible for the development of the agencywide sign program to include bus stop information, rail stations, facilities/buildings, rail alignments, and HOV. Direction of customer communication effort relative to service changes and improvements
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Note: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.Bachelor?s Degree in Marketing, Marketing Research, Advertising, Communications, Business Administration or related field. Six (6) years progressively responsible experience in marketing in a corporate environment to include a minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience managing professional and technical marketing personnel. Ability to demonstrate a fiduciary obligation to section, division, department, and DART in handling materials and information of a confidential nature. Operate DART non-revenue vehicles as required. Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels, both inside and outside of DART. Proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and software applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, database, graphics design, and forms design. Typical office equipment such as copier, typewriter, calculator, facsimile, etc. Valid Texas Class A, B. or C drivers license, no Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) conviction in the last (60) consecutive months, not more than one (DWI) conviction on driving record, and not more than three (3) convictions of moving violations within the last (36) consecutive months, in order to operate DART non-revenue-vehicles. Analytical skills and creativity to find solutions to highly complex legal, interpersonal, financial, professional, technical and administrative problems.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to AVP Marketing & Advertising *
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in an environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting DART's operating facilities, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.
