Senior Modeler/ Marketing Scientist

Factor TG is the trusted source for branding and sales data and insights for the marketing planning organization. Factor TG provides direct consumer measurement of branding and sales effects of individual marketing activities such as cross media advertising, events, sponsorships, etc., to produce timely insights into tactical performance, optimization recommendations, and ROI reporting.
JOB SUMMARY:
As part of our Marketing Science team, your primary focus will be analyzing and optimizing marketing programs for our clients, directly influencing the allocation of multi-billion dollar marketing budgets.
You will use our proprietary models to optimize marketing strategies for our clients. You will also work closely with our Research Team to develop and deliver services in automotive, pharmaceutical, CPG, and financial services markets.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Marketing effectiveness measurement via statistical modeling, experimental design, and sophisticated data analysis. Provide statistical support (internally and to clients) to facilitate strategic decision making. Present analyses and interpretations of results using our innovative proprietary methodologies, and work with our Marketing Science VP to develop new methodologies when appropriate.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Masters or PhD Degree in Statistics, Marketing Science, Biostatistics, Mathematics, or closely related discipline, PLUS 1-2 years of experience. Equivalent education or experience will be considered, (particularly relevant work experience in lieu of Ph.D.)
OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong knowledge and/or coursework in Marketing Science and/or Econometrics - statistical design, analysis, and modeling experience required. Areas of knowledge/expertise to include mathematical statistics, linear statistical models, logistic regression, applied probability, multivariate analysis, and categorical data analysis. Also to include algorithms, nonparametrics, experimental design, nonlinear regression and empirical modeling, modern regression methods, and optimization. Coursework in physical, biological, or social sciences a plus. Working knowledge of SPSS, SAS, EXCEL, GAUSS and STATA strongly desired.
Ability to understand key business issues, problem-solve and investigate potential solutions, implement innovative modeling approaches, and interpret findings. Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills are a must (both internal and external). Attention to detail, good time management, and ability to work on multiple projects at a time are all required.
Market research experience desirable, particularly methodology design and survey sampling. Prior experience in advertising research - particularly within the Automotive, Pharmaceutical, and/or CPG industries a big plus.
