Job Title: Senior Web Developer

Position Overview:

The Senior Developer has significant experience with Microsoft web site development, Client/Server Windows applications and a very good understanding of relational databases such as T-SQL, SQL Server or Oracle. This position requires strong Microsoft ASP.NET experience and the ability to develop complex custom applications to meet the specific business needs of the company.  This position requires technical leadership skills and the ability to lead other developers on projects. The candidate should have significant experience with web based applications and e-commerce related sites. The Senior Developer will work closely with the Business Analyst, QA, and Business Owners throughout the full life cycle of projects.

Essential Functions:

 

Principle Accountabilities & Authorities:

Enhance and support Web Internet and e-commerce systems.

Meet with business analysts and business owners on new functionality requests and production issues and develop technical specifications based on ShopNBC standard specification development.

Develop applications using standard Microsoft development tools such as Visual Studio.

Develop using C#, ASP.NET, HTML, and JavaScript.

Unit test applications using ShopNBC standard testing methodologies.

Lead other developers when requested.

Develop project plans and timelines when requested to meet critical deliver dates.

Accountable for meeting delivery dates on assigned projects and tasks.

Support the business during and after hours as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

 



Education:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.), or equivalent experience.



 

Experience:

5-9+ years of software development experience.

4+ year in e-commerce, retail, or web development segment.

2+ years of .NET programming with C#.

Has experience in designing, developing, deploying and supporting Internet sites.

JavaScript, .ASPX, and HTML experience is a must.

In depth knowledge of .NET framework and Libraries for .NET 2.0 and 1.1.

Experience with XML, XSD, XSLT; familiar with XML DOM and .NET XML namespace.
