Job Summary

The Senior .NET Application Developer focuses on gathering new feature requirements, developing and testing new features, deploying new features to production, and providing post production support.

Job Responsibilities

A typical day for this individual will consist of:Gathering technical requirements for new features from end-users and documenting how those features will be usedConducting analysis to determine the best solution (method) to meet end-user requirements and documenting the requirementsDeveloping the applicationReviewing and testing the application to ensure it meets requirements and is bug freeMaintaining different versions of the codeDeploying the application into a produciton environmentProviding post production support

Job Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (strongly preferred) or related area

Certifications (a plus): MCPD and MCSD

Work Experience (required):  The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial development experience of at least 3+ years and at least 3-4 years strong C# and ASP.NET development experience.  Additionally, the ideal person will need to have 5 to 7 years work experience in the following areas:Expert proficiency in .NET, VB.NET 1.1, VB.NET 2.0/3.5, ASP.NET 1.1 AND ASP.NET 2.0/3.5 technologies and web based applicaton design.High proficiency in use of relational databases.High proficiency with SQL 2005 database structure and possess the requisite skills to create and maintain stored procedures, manage database objects, and create reports using SRS.Version Control tools such as Subversion and SourceSafe.

Work Experience (preferred):Developing and using AJAX technologyBuilding/testing automation tools such as Nant, NunitAdministering Windows Server 2003Front-end "GUI" design skillsHandling large data volumesProficiency in Web services design.NET TechnologiesVB.NET 1.1/2.0/3.5ASP..NET 1.1/2.0/3.5Web-based application designSQL 2005
