Senior Program Director - Promotional Medical Education
The Senior Program Director serves as supervisor on one or several accounts within the group. It is the Senior Program Director's responsibility to develop and coordinate medical educational programs in a variety of media that may include video, print, symposia, exhibits, interactive media, all varieties of meetings, etc. His or her primary objectives are to ensure the quality of work produced on behalf of these accounts and to maximize the growth of the business on these accounts. In carrying out these responsibilities, the Senior Program Director will work with the Precept medical staff (medical directors, medical writers), creative staff (art directors, computer graphics support personnel, and editors), meetings management, as well as the account coordinator and account services staff at the agency. The Senior Program Director will have ongoing contact with clients, including marketing and product management as well as market research and medical affairs. The Senior Program Director will have contact with physicians and clinical investigators, as well as with any number of outside vendors such as printers, video producers, freelance writers, travel bureaus, and hotels. Travel is required. Responsibilities and Duties: Develop and coordinate medical education programs, serving as liaison between the client and the expert physician consultants, supervising medical content, creative development, production and coordinating all outside vendorsIdentify and recruit consultants, researching the appropriate subject area, making contacts, describing programs, and securing participationCoordinate internal processes, working with editorial and art staff to secure copy and layout of top creative quality and in accordance with client's needsDevelop budgets and estimates for all educational programsTrack all budgets against approved estimatesDevelop support staff, working with junior staff members to help them grow towards greater responsibilityGenerate new business on existing accounts, developing new program ideas that fit the account's strategic needsLeverage successful programs and positive client rapport to increase the business on each assigned accountAssist in new business activities for new accounts, as requiredPlease email resume to: recruit2.shhr@sudler.com , reference Sr. Program Director in the subject line.
