Senior Public Relations Account Executive

This position provides the appropriate candidate with the opportunity to be a member of a thriving public relations agency in Northern New Jersey.

 

You will work with a talented team of public relations counselors in a fast-moving organization on developing and executing public relations strategies. Responsibilities involve: managing multiple public relations accounts by providing strategic counsel, developing and executing media strategies and supervising account teams while providing consistent, high-level earned media results for a diverse client base.

 

The ideal candidate will be a creative, energetic media relations professional with well-developed writing abilities and a track record of results. Candidates should have exceptional interpersonal skills and be comfortable working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment. Desirable candidates need to be detail-oriented with the ability to meet multiple deadlines without sacrificing quality. Public relations agency experience of 7-10 years is required.

 

Qualifications:

 

- Seven plus years of public relations agency experience

 

- Day-to-day management of multiple accounts with a results-focused approach and commitment to go the extra mile for clients

 

- Extensive media relations skills and proven track record of obtaining high-profile media placements among print and broadcast trade, consumer, and business media outlets

 

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills a must

 

- Experience interfacing directly with clients and providing proactive client counsel

 

- Ability to lead and work within team structure, supervise junior account staff, ensure quality control, and determine workflow and assignments while adhering to program budgets

 

- Attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

 

- Ability to develop and edit high quality written materials, including media correspondence, bylines, and press releases

 

- Extensive knowledge of media and how it functions

 

- Digital media and viral marketing experience is highly valued
