This position represents an opportunity to play an instrumental role in helping build a major business in this sector backed by the global resources and know-how.

 

Core responsibilities for this position are:

 

Business Building and P&L Management

 

· Manage P&L to achieve agreed upon targets

· Implement business planning processes that integrate thorough analysis and sound measurement systems; use the tools available to improve decision-making and business results

· Identify new business opportunities with new and existing clients

· Leverage knowledge to develop and implement strategies designed to generate business opportunities collaboratively across different areas of specializations in order to guide sales strategies and expand client base

 

Key Client Management Nurture and manage the relationships with senior-level clientsActively involved in strategically-important projects

 

Shape Strategic Direction

 Ensure that our positioning, branding and customer value proposition are designed to resonate as strongly as possible with clients, helping to maximize  revenue  Understand the "big picture," and incorporate this into decision-making and actions.  Take "big" ideas and turn them into realityParticipate as an integral member of the  Western Management Team,  to ensure the most effective execution of key business strategies and the smooth-running of the team

Team Development & Management

 Direct management responsibility for staff in the Bellevue location to ensure that projects are completed on time and exceed the expectations of quality and strategic insightBuild, lead and support a high performing team:  Develop, coach and retain key staffDevelop a culture of client-satisfaction and service excellence amongst staffImprove business discipline, accountability and measurement systemsProvide team with a clear sense of direction and purposeChampion staff training, mentoring and developmentRecruit high quality research staff with strong business acumen

Qualifications:

 A minimum of 15 years of experience in the Market Research Industry - either on the client or agency side - including at least 5 years of hands-on experience as a senior market research practitioner. Proven track record managing at the strategic business unit level or above: Solid understanding of P&LStrategic thinker, able to translate financial objectives into business practices. Clearly 'sales-driven' as shown by consistently beating targetsUnderstands the importance of direct involvement in the 'day to day' details.A successful history of building high performing teams who feel personally accountable for their work and a collective responsibility to their team-mates.
