Sports Public Relations - AAE/AE, Consumer Marketing

GCI Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Account Executive or an Account Executive to join the Sports Marketing group of our Consumer practice. This person will work on a variety of accounts including Nike and the WTA.

 

The ideal candidate first and foremost must have a passion for sports. He/she should have a proven ability to communicate with media and sports entities. Preferably, this individual will have existing experience with a public relations or marketing firm related to sports, or have previously worked in a sports information department or similar internship. He/she should be very comfortable with pitching and talking about sports with clients. In addition, this individual must be detailed oriented, resourceful, and a team player. Responsibilities will include: media relations planning, writing press materials, media list development, research, media monitoring, pitching, creating recap presentations for the client, participating in weekly client calls, and staffing media and consumer events all over the city.
